Meet Menaka! A young lady with an intelligence and beauty that naturally draws you in and has you mesmerized. I still remember the first time she walked into ANJUthreads, the salon was located on 10th street at the time, next to Kanella, and Menaka was just starting at Penn. She’s fabulous, here’s a glimpse into her #happyhealthy lifestyle!

Your workday? I’m a Fashion Merchandiser at Anthropologie’s national headquarters here in Philadelphia. My job is to promote our apparel through email messaging, special features, and catalog outfitting, and to keep our product assortment looking fresh and exciting online.

Side project or alternate profile? I started my blog Cobblestone Catwalk recently as a means of staying inspired and inspiring others through outfit and lifestyle posts. Blogging allows me to combine some of my favorite things—fashion, writing, and design. I’m starting an exciting collaboration with the people at The Social Ladder app, too–check them out!

How do we follow you? Find me on Instagram at @cobblestonecatwalk or visit my blog www.cobblestonecatwalk.com.

Cooking or Take-out? I usually don’t get home from work until 7:30 (and at that point I’m exhausted!), so I tend to eat out frequently. I’m definitely a foodie—I love Indian food more than anything, and if my husband isn’t cooking it (he’s good!), we’ll order from Ekta.

How do you stay physically healthy? I try to go to Flywheel (spinning) at least a few times a week. It’s such a good calorie burn and it’s only 45 minutes. I promised myself this year that I would also do more yoga. I love the flexibility I get from yoga–not to mention it’s one of the only times I’m able to slow down and really relax.

How often do you get threaded? I go every 2-3 weeks–my brows grow fast!

Why do you #GotoANJU? I used to get my brows waxed, but my skin would always get irritated (sometimes burned!). I have really sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, and I love that threading doesn’t run the risk of ripping your skin–OUCH! Also, I find that threading is much more precise, and I can get a really clean, sharp line. The threaders at Anju definitely listen to what you want and know what they’re doing.

Communities you support or are a member? I have been involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization for almost two years now, and I love it. I definitely like working with kids and it’s amazing to be such an important part of someone’s growing up.

Relationship Status? Married! And happily so.

Describe your signature of glam or sexy? Anything a little bit rock and roll is both glam AND sexy.

Words to live by? Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle you know nothing about.
