Meet Michelle! This girl is awesome. She launched ChocAmo (learn more below!) as an Undergrad and is soon becoming a force in the Philly startup-food scene. She is the sweetest– there is a warmth and softness in her presence that automatically comforts. But she’s no pushover, she’s blazing paths and it’s not by luck. #wink. I was so excited to host her SweetSpirits launch event at ANJUthreads. Here is Michelle’s #happyhealthy profile:
Gorgeous photo, where are you? I was in Rivera Maya, Mexico with my family at the end of summer.
Your immediate escape would be? If I could go anywhere, I would head to the waterfalls in Fiji And then make my way through New Zealand, Australia, and India.
What’s #major in your life right now? I am about to finish Drexel University with a degree in Entrepreneurship & Marketing. A little over a year ago I started ChocAmo. The name is inspired by chocolate & amor. We are an artisan dessert company that specializes in cookie cups! They pair perfectly with milk, ice cream, espresso & liquor.

Why ANJUthreads for your brows? I #GotoANJU Threads because the atmosphere is amazing! All of the people that work there are extremely friendly, and clients feel right at home.
And love? With the same man since high school. If you date for a long time and are lucky enough to have grown side by side, hold on because the ride is worth it! My mom once told me that, “Love is how you feel about yourself when you are with another person.” If they inspire you to become a better version of yourself, you’re in the right place. :-)
Balancing student-life and launching your business, do you cook or generally eat-out? I love to cook! There is something special about whipping up a meal for yourself or friends. I love trying new ways to incorporate veggies. Spaghetti squash, cauliflower mash, and many variations of salad! Also homemade sushi, stir-fry and meatballs are some of my favorite meals!
Your daytime-drink? I absolutely adore tea. It has always been a huge part of my culture and it brings a sense of tranquility into my life. A French press can be a girls best friend when it comes to rich loose leaf teas. Some of my favorite spots are The Random Tea Room and Carina Tea & Waffles. Water and fresh squeezed juice are pretty great as well!
Word’s to live by: “Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by it’s ability to climb a tree it will live it’s whole life believing that it is stupid.” Einstein had the right idea; every person has a special treasure, and it’s important to find a way to appreciate everyone.
